Charlie Bone has discovered an unusual gift-he can hear people in photographs talking! His scheming aunts decide to send him to Bloor Academy, a school for genius’s where he uses his gifts to discover the truth despite all the dangers that lie ahead.

Customer Review: got here quickly
this product was mailed to me quickly and I’m very happy with the service I recieved
Customer Review: Not a horrible book; just not a very good one
(I read the first 3 Charlie Bone books, so this review is probably more of an indictment of the entire series in general rather than any one book in particular.)

Maybe Days: A Book for Children in Foster Care Will I live with my parents again? Will I stay with my foster parents forever? For children in foster care, the answer to many questions is often “maybe.” Maybe Days addresses the questions, feelings, and concerns these children most often face. Honest and reassuring, it also provides basic information that children want and need to know, including the roles of various people in the foster care system and whom to ask for help. An extensive afterword for adults caring for foster children describes the child’s experience, underscores the importance of open communication, and outlines a variety of ways to help children adjust to the “maybe days”- and to thrive.
Customer Review: Great for Kids and Adults
I work at a proctor care agency. This book has been a great tool for helping children who are in Foster Care feel normal again. It’s also been great to help the foster parents stop and realize all the different emotions and feelings their foster children are working through.
Customer Review: Provides Some Comfort
Maybe Days provided my 8 year old foster child with some comforting words. In language a young child can understand, it gives the “big” picture of the foster care sysytem. It acknowledges the fact that many aspects are unknown for the child as well as for the foster parents. My foster child has asked me to read it over and over again.

Children’s Writer’s Word Book This title’s unique design ensures that writers speak to their audience with a vocabulary and style they both understand and find appealing. A fast-reference guide meant to be used along with a dictionary, thesaurus and yellow pad of paper, it will help fulfill the dream of becoming a published children’s writer.
Customer Review: Useful for Parents, Too!
I use this book to write stories for my young children and it is very helpful. My only constructive criticism is that there are two levels for most words — the level at which the child understands the word and the level at which he/she can read the word. For very young children, those two levels may be separated by two or more years. Therefore, it would be useful if both levels (comprehension and reading) were included.
Customer Review: Word Book
A wonderful tool for the childrens book author. Jam packed with word alternatives and information.

A Boy and a Bear: The Children’s Relaxation Book A Boy and a Bear teaches young children how to relax and calm themselves. Written for children 3 - 10 years old, this book tells the story of a young boy who encounters a polar bear while they are both climbing a snow covered mountain. The boy and bear become friends and learn an important lesson in relaxation together. As the bear watches the boy breathing, children mirror their movements and learn valuable breathing skills to enhance their own relaxation. Children will not only enjoy the story, but will benefit by learning a self-calming technique to reduce stress, prepare for sleep, and improve self-confidence.
Customer Review: Relaxation concepts for the youngest kids
I am a mental health therapist with children and families. There are many books and resources to teach kids about relaxation and breathing, but few work for me to introduce the concepts to my younger clients - preschoolers and younger elementary school children. (Though it would also be good for older elementary schoolers.) The simplicity of this book is calming in and of itself. The children I see enjoy it that the little boy in the book is the expert, and they enjoy the expressions of the overwhelmed bear as the boy helps him to learn how to manage his emotions. The pictures are simple - not like the color-saturated pictures common to most children’s picture books now - but that’s also part of the book’s charm and calming influence.
